MAIN DUTIES:
• Accounts Payable/Receivable and Payroll Systems – Record, verify, allocate and post details of core business transactions to subsidiary accounts.
• Balances ledgers and prepares ad/hoc and internal management reports.
• Review and analyze financial statements to find opportunities to improve business performance.
• Manage the ongoing processing of all financial transactions and ad hoc requests.
• Verify AR and AP aging total with trial balance amounts and research discrepancies.
• Works under general supervision from Owner and participates in group projects to improve quality and efficiency within the organization.
• Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
• Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 5 years of previous bookkeeping experience, preferably with a growth oriented company.
• Payroll knowledge, with at least 5 year of experience processing a payroll for at least 50 employees.
• Knowledgeable of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting and bookkeeping
• Advanced Quickbooks skills (test will be administered to verify skill level)
• Competency with vendor account management, bank and credit card reconciliations.
• California Sales Tax reporting experience
• Strong organizational skills required to maintain detailed financial records through filing, retrieval, retention, storage and purging.
• Strong computer literacy skills – Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Internet
• Able to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and meet deadlines.
• 45+ WPM Typing Speed

OTHER SKILLS:
• Knowledge of all apparel industry would be helpful.
Hours:
Monday-Friday in the range of 40 hrs per week, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (requires flexibility based on work requirements)
